Traversing Drive Lift for Automotive Industry

Handling Specialty played a significant part in the development of the modern assembly line used in automotive assembly plants today. This lift is a prototype that was developed for a Big Three automaker in the 80s as efficiency and ergonomics became an integral part of the auto assembly process. These self-propelled lifts were custom engineered and manufactured by Handling Specialty and were used in a simulated auto assembly plant environment to develop new processes and train workers.
