Overview
Handling Specialty received a purchase order from Hudson Scenic Studio, Inc. for a telescoping screen lift to be used to raise and lower a large LED screen in a theatre/conference room space for their client.
Designed to lift up to 6,000 lbs. and run once per day, this telescoping lift raises out of the floor up to 203” at a rate of 45 feet per minute. All three electro-mechanically actuated lifts, which make up the mechanism, include a ball-screw-bevel gear jack powered by two gear motors connected to a synchronizing shaft via a sprocket and chain arrangement.
